Its very good for leaving a protective film on components - on my motorbike for example, during a winter layoff......naturally it vanishes eventually if the machine is used in the wet.
For a penetrating oil, you'll be pushed to better diesel really.....or even the original Plus Gas.

I don't think you'll do much better. Plusgas for penetrating alternative but protection T9 I'd imagine would have greater longevity.
