This isn't a major problem but annoying all the less.
I have an Apollo Fanfare S boiler.
It generally works fine, but when the boiler fires up and stays ignited, it makes a loud contiuous "humming" noise. When the boiler isn't fired up, the noise stops. I am trying to work out whether this noise is just the way the boiler is meant to be, or whether there is a way it could be stopped.
Occassionally, even when fired up, the humming does stop, making me think the "humming" noise could be completely erradicated if I spent some money.
However, before I invest and get somebody out to fix it, I wondered if anyone had any ideas as to whether they think this noise could be stopped? (and if so, would it be a costly job?)
Thanks for any advice anyone can offer.
