I have a strange issue with my Baxi Duo Tec 28GA.

When using the central heating the boiler seems to make a load horn/trumptet like noise which is audible inside and out.

As the boiler is heating up the sound goes in and out of phase and will in the end disappear after about 10-20 minutes. Turning on the hot water will interrupt this.

So it seems that when the fan is at max it doesnt make the noise.

It has recently been servcied and had a new flue fitted but the noise happened before this and didnt appear whilst engineer was working on it.

I did see someone else on another forum mention a bent heating plate so perhaps burner.

I've emailed Baxi but so far they've been pretty useless.

Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Baxi will only likely help if you’re a gas safe registered engineer. We can only give out certain advice. Was it properly serviced?
