Hi all

We have recently moved into a new house. THe boiler in it is a Ideal HE15.
The problems are as follows:

1/ It is very noisy, as though there is a lot of air in the sysytem. Any clues how to cure this?

2/ The temperature of the hot water isn't high enough. It is very warm but not what Iwould call hot.

The boiler only has one dial (for the CH) and this is set at 4.

I have removed the cover of the bioler expecting to find a second dial for the water but alas there isn't one.

Anyone know how to increae the water temp??!?

Many thanks people.

HE15 is a heat only boiler isn't it?

the dial on the boiler controls the temperature that the boiler produces for the C/H and the water 4 should be about right 5 maybe if it is really cold.

in the airing cupboard 2/3 of the way down your cylinder you should find a thermostat set this to around 58 degrees

the air in the system - have you bled each radiator? is there any bleed valves in your airing cupboard? is there any water in the system? is it pressurised to 1 bar or do you have a loft tank(small 10 litre tank next to a bigger one?)

I've yet to come across an Ideal boiler with a stat that is numbered
