boiler overheat

recently had a new boiler fitted, a baxi solo on a "open vent" system
the problem is it regularly shuts down, and the overheat light illuminates on the boiler even though inner casing of boiler and radiaters are cold this lasts a couple of hours before ressetting and fireing up again, but by that time the house is freezing again. can anyone help
