Hello wise ones!

I've just pressurised my 2 yeasr old Sime boiler and discovered after doing so that is was at 2.5 Bar and will not function now.

Could you let me know how to drop this back into the operating range?

Many thanks in advance.

Paul.

the easiest (but tedious)way is to get a radiator bleed key and let some water out of the top of a radiator into a suitable recepticle.
over pressurising doesn't stop a sime from operating though, only under pressure will stop it firing. i suspect you have a deeper problem.

Thanks for the amazingly quick reply!

I'm getting a flashing warning light at the 2.5 Bar setting, so I assumed the boiler wouldnt work.

Are you saying it's OK to operate anyway?

Cheers,

Paul.

no don't operate it until the pressure is reduced back to 1-1.5 bar.
if you've got a warning light of overpressure it's a sime i've never come across and someone else on the forum should advise you on it rather than me.
