Hello
I wonder if you could help me. We got a a central heating system fitted in Dec 07, as we already had an old system in place we decided with the fitter not to replace the pipes and to just replace the radiators and boiler. The original pipes were checked for any leaks but there did not seem to be any.
We had 8 new radiators and a Worcester 30 combination boiler fitted. The only problem is the water pressure in the boiler seems to be dropping. It was filled up 2 on the gauge but after a month it then drops to 1. When it gets to 1 on the gauge, you can hear the water gushing into the radiators of a morning when the radiators come on which is quite loud and wakes you up.
We have let more water into the boiler using the key underneath up until the gauge reaches two, which seems to eliminate the gushing noises, however we are not sure we should keep doing this.
When the radiators are on we have a lot of steam coming out of the outlet at the side of the house and are just wondering whether this is the reason for the water pressure drop?
Any advice would be great. thanks
Lynsey
