Hello, I have a Ravenheat Combi boiler. The problem i have is i am not getting hot water. When i have the central heating on i get about a minutes worth of hot water, then it just turns luke warm, then eventually goes cold, then i have to turn the tap off, wait about 5 mins to get another minute of hot water. Also, if my central heating is not on, i do not get any hot water at all, it is absolutely freezing cold. Anybody know what the problem may be, and how i can fix it.

Thanks

Probably a failed diaphragm in the diverter valve. Replace diaphragm or whole diverter valve. Either way quite a difficult job on some Ravenheats so - there's another current thread dealing with this same problem.

Thanks Chrishutt, can you give me the link to that thread please :D

Just put Ravenheat into the search facility (top of page) and all the threads about this boiler will be shown.

Anyone asked themselves why Ravenheat keeps cropping up around here. Popular in B&Q too. Very odd!

When I did the Ravenheat course last June they claimed 22% of the condensing combi market. Then I did the Biasi one and they claimed 20%.
If these figures are correct then I would say that the number of queries is pro rata to the number of these boilers that are out there; rather than a statement of their un/reliability.

Ravenheats and Biasis tend to be chosen by people who want to save money, and people who are into DIY, the same people who post questions on this forum. Therefore it should be no surprise if Ravenheats and Biasis crop up a lot, even if they were of above average reliability.
