My central heating has been working fine up until today when I returned home from work. Whilst in the kitchen, the boiler fired up as it is supposed to (set on a timer). It began to make some bizarre noises though......like a chugging noise. I looked through the "magic looking hole" and it was lit but then extinguished itself after 20 seconds or so. It then lit again, made a chugging noise and extinguished itself. I've checked the radiators and the two upstairs are working fine, however the one downstairs is cold. The hot water seems to be running fine, but that could just be down to hot water being still in the tank.
Any suggestions? I'm thinking the downstairs radiator needs bleeding as the noises being made by the boiler sound like the water pipe is trying to push out an air lock.
Thanks
