I have an ideal standard wall mounted boiler circa 13yrs old. During last winter we had a problem with the boiler taking ages to fire up on increasing the temp from the thermostat in the hallway. Some mornings, it would not fire up at all, so no heating or hot water.
We called someone out and he changed the fan , which seemed to remedy the problem but for a short period. Recently the heating has not come on in the morning. When increasing the temp from the thermostat in the hall, the display shows that the boiler should be ignited, but checking the boiler it is not on.
Now we have noticed when the heating is switched off, the rads get really hot.
Are these symtpoms of a stuck 3 way valve?
thanks
