Hi guys just wanted to check out what cables you use on your boiler wiring, As per regs it should be in solid core because its fixed wiring but interested in what configs you use. Ie multi core flex vs 3x t/e etc but especially what you would use say on a pump over run which has to go back to the boiler as apposed to the wiring centre, and wiring centre is in another room of house, and would you use flex for this ? most pumps are wired in flex?? or would you t/e from boiler then jb then flex to pump?
look forward to your comments guys

Flex is not for permenant mains wiring.
Twin & earth / three core & earth to adjacent to boiler then heat resiatant flex to boiler / pump etc.

Be careful if you are not really sure how to wire a heating system as some of the control circuit may be extra low voltage- 240V there means bye bye PCB .

T&E from mains to switch nxt to boiler. flex from that to boiler. stat wired in 3C+E til box nxt to boiler then 4core flex from that to boiler

Thanks guys as I thought , thanks for that advice bald, i have worked before on electric boilers and gas ones so i know where you are coming from with the low voltage, i was interested in diff opinions on the cables used by you guys

many thanks and have a good christmas everyone

Flex should only be used for the last bit- to an immerser of boiler etc.

Although I've seen a but of flex to a room stat travel across a house- not good practice.
