After all this time it appears that bojo has backtracked and agreed that there will have to be a border between N.I. and the Republic of Ireland...

And that some form of physical checks will have to take place...

So what does this 'genius' come up with?

Do the checks a short distance away from the border...

In other words shift the physical border away from the political border...

It's already been shot down in flames by the EU, so it looks like bojo is either going to have to do the 'walk of shame' to the EU, or find himself up before the beak...

Couldn't be happening to a more deserving sociopath

Johnson says 'I have a plan'

'instead of a border, at the border, lets just move the border say 5km away, then its not a border at the border'

notice how these Brexiteers have moved the goalposts -back in 2017 they said that a digital solution would retain frictionless trade, now they are saying we are happy to announce that Brexit can be done because there will be a border and trade will not be frictionless.

Strange how the resident quitters don't have an opinion on this...

I guess they're too embarrassed to admit that their 'messiah' is just a 'naughty little boy'

He mentioned a huge percentage of the cross border trade is from National or multi-national firms therefore a 'trusted trader' scheme, with a small number of checks at points away from the border for spot checks. We've covered this before I believe.

He's planning to blame the EU (for doing what they always said) when his lunatic scheme is rejected.

Bojo categorically stated that there would be no checks whatsoever...

Funny how quitters continually move the goal posts...

Let alone the border posts

Yes, but Buffoon is a notorious liar.

To save time, assume that whatever he says is untrue. You will avoid a lot of confusion that way.

He touched a ladies knee in 1854!
He wont get brexit done he's a bufoon
Tusk wont listen to him he's a liar!
He's not doing negotiations he's at home playing kerplunk with Dominic!!

Oh wait, Tusk says he feels a deal coming on, wow omg how come things have changed. I'm so shocked a last minute deal may occur :p

You wait.. once he get's a deal it will change from no he can't to 'no its worse than mays etc blah blah..'

Its the same rhetoric you little footy fans manage as your 'hero's' repeat. No matter what the tories do 'it's sh't its rubbish it's no good, negative spin bad bad'

You are why our political system is rotten to the core, you're brainwashed by your heros to be negative about anything despite the positive effects it may bring.

If Labour Libdem no matter what achieve a positive pathway in politics it should be commended not boo'd just because it's the opposition, everyone in the house should be encouraged to work to a goal for our benefit not to fight eachother.

Unfortunately he's a notorious liar and has been spreading lies about the EU for decades. He has told many whoppers and not just the odd fib either. He, like his mate Trump, are renowned liars. It's not just Tory bashing either.

Smogg is getting the Brexers ready:

"Jacob Rees-Mogg has sought to soften up Tory Eurosceptic MPs by urging them to accept “compromise will inevitably be needed” in the run-up to a pivotal European Council summit on Thursday at which Boris Johnson hopes to secure agreement for a new Brexit deal.

Mr Rees-Mogg, a leading anti-EU figure, is among the senior ministers trying to sell the British prime minister’s potential new withdrawal agreement to hardline Brexiters."

A shameless attempt to rewite history. Black is white and up is down. He also said "Boris can be trusted"

Hahahahahahahahahahahaha!

"The UK government is also braced for a political backlash from Eurosceptics when the final details of the new plan are made public, risking his chances of getting any new deal with the EU through parliament."

"Mr Johnson’s proposal to solve the Irish border question is not dissimilar to the previous idea of a “customs partnership” that was criticised by Mr Rees-Mogg at the time as “cretinous” and “a betrayal of good sense”.

“The prime minister is absolutely clear that we are leaving on the 31st of October . . . he is not going to Europe to ask for an extension,” Mr Rees-Mogg said."
