I have a Vokera Linea 28. This morning I had no hot water and checked the boiler and saw that the pressure had dropped to about .25 bar. I tried filling the system to life the pressure up to 1.5 bars and turned the filler off but the pressure kept climbing and climbed beyond 3.0 mb before shooting of the gauge. The boiler immediately started sounding llike a jack hammer and I switched the gas and electric off. However the jack hammer effect continued with the pressure gauge shooting up and down.
The only way I have been able to stop the noise is to turn the taps on and I presume that this is releasing some of the pressure. The system is now silent but if I turn the tap on the pressure wshoots up again.
I am awaiting an gas engineer as we speak and I thenk that the system has become over pressured. Is there anything that can be done at this time to resolve this.

Whatever you turned to increase the system pressure has not been turned off properly !!!

Just look at it decide how to turn it off!

The screw or knob should be ACROSS the tube in the off position!
