Bolier Question

I have a Worchester Bosch Greenstar 25Si Compact Combi Bolier.
In generally works fine however sometimes it needs topping up.
To do this there is a little blue leaver on the bottom of the bolier.
Recently this lever has got very stiff I am almost worried if I pull it down to hard it will snap off.

Another conern is that I may over fill the boiler (is that even possbile?) if it gets stuck will it cut off at any point?

I am going to get a quote to get it fixed but in the mean time advice is welcome.

I have tried didn't work still seems to stiff

Maybe you have a strong trigger finger that might break it.

OK thanks , first of all dont go near that with WD 40 as someone advised, that blue lever is designed to just gently be pulled on , never force it, just a gentle pull until the guage reads the correct pressure , it is not like a 1/4 tap, you just simply tease the valve off its seat, it is not like an on off vave
