Morning,
I have a gently sloping single storey lean-to roof, made from roman tiles, with a skylight which actually comprises a glass roman tile. It leaks in heavy rain. I am not going to attempt to improve the sealing to the tile. I don't actually need the light offered by the skylight, so I propose to solve the problem by:
- remove the glass tile and the surrounding tiles, gather up and clean the surrounding roofing felt, and bond a new piece of felt so as to be watertight, then replace the tiles.
Can anyone please recommend the most suitable adhesive, or have any other tips, please ?
Could there be any pitfalls ? The roof is nearly 40 y old, could the existing felt have perished and be impossible to bond ?
Thankyou.
