BORIS JOHNSON RESIGNED

The title of this thread is technically wrong, Johnson has not resigned, he didn’t mentioned resignation once

If Starmer gets in he will make Brexit work

Not much else he can do tbh

Remoaners could I suppose hope that Scotland get there independance than rejoin the EU ?

They could move there ? May be ?

Other than that well Er not much else they can do ?? Afaik ?

Starmer would have handed himself the next election, by offering a new referendum to re-join the EU.

Un likely imo

Liberals can offer it

So they will get in than ?

Best the remoaners can hope for is some hung parliament with the liberals and Labour cooking up
Some deal

with the libs insisting it’s part of the deal / dogs breakfast

But hey ho

The UK will have to suffer economic damage for the next decade whilst it rebuilds a relationship with the EU.
A return to the Single Market is inevitable.

Mottie, you may be ignorant of the economic damage Brexit is causing and will continue to do so, but that doesn’t alter the reality.

The end of the narcissistic liar will mean Brexit lies will become evident.
Don’t worry. Your hero Kier has got a cunning plan…..

He's burnt his bridges there as he said he wouldn’t. Backed up by his nodding dog fatty Thornbery.

Hasn't it struck you that rejoining could now be unfeasible. Seems the libs have toyed with the idea of campaigning based on a rejoin.

Well that's pretty much all of them, maybe with the exception of David Davis...
Yep, sad state of affairs isn't it? I guess that's what happens when Boris surrounded himself with spineless & greedy yes men/women!

There is no cunning plan, Brexit can’t be undone for at least a decade.

we will all have to suffer the considerable economic damage, because the dimwits that support Brexit won’t accept they have been conned.

The end of Johnson means the end of the worst liar, so Brexit truth will start to surface more and more

No he hasn’t.

It is impossible to join SM or EU in next parliament.

we have to continue suffering the considerable damage, enjoy the ride.

Seems both Labour and Tory will be screaming make Brexit work. Starmer got in first so should have the copyright.

Boris hanging on - bit like Trump but no riots. A Tory party member that runs a cake shop is very upset. He says we voted him in so they shouldn't remove him. 1,000,000 of them should march on London and reinstate him. LOL No idea where he got the 1,000,000 from.

Curious thing about Tory party members. The often seem to be rather small business owners. If certain sectors earned more that one would sell more cakes. Their main concern is generally slight complications with employing people - the rabble. The NHS idea that employers need healthy workers so should pay something towards keeping them like that doesn't appeal. Better still have them working from anything between 0 and 100hrs a week as needed, The owner must make decent living even if they only sell 10 cakes a week.

Righto.

Although we can't expect anything else from them (politicians) other than to spout all the positives of something and not mention the negatives (unless in the opposing team), you'd have to be misinformed at best not to think something like Brexit was going to be anything other than a massive transition with many bumps along the road. There will be winners and losers as it plays out.

We'll face the same sort of thing up here if Scotland becomes independent. SNP and other supporters will focus heavy on the positives (as they see them) and we'll hear little about the years/decades of upheaval it'll cause.

It's not to say these massive transitions can't work, heck they might even be for the best. I'm not getting into that here. All I'm saying is massive transition = massive upheaval = winners and losers.
