BORIS JOHNSON RESIGNED

Starmer has been cleared of breaking covid rules.

So the politician who promised to resign if he had done something wrong didn't have to because he indeed didn't do anything wrong...

And the politician who did do wrong and promised he wouldn't resign has now had to do so...

Something to be said about having morals!

Starmer isn't stupid. His was a genuine working event with a leader doing what would be expected when they visit. After the meal next job was a walk. Something they all do - part of the job. That the only woolly aspect really but he needs to get from a to b anyway. ;) They aren't expected to starve when out and about.

Seems Labour will be raising a vote of no confidence next week. Not expected to do anything but then there is the rumour of Tory preparing for a snap election. Well we will find out. ;) Next week. If an election they must have some body and his group in mind. Sorting that our is probably why the leadership elections take a while to get going. But what about their party members needing to vote on the leader. A snap election without a rule change could only be with Boris at the head.

"Boris Johnson allies accuse Rishi Sunak of treachery "
ft.com

"A cabinet minister loyal to Johnson said his allies would try to ensure Sunak did not win the leadership contest. “Rishi will get everything he deserves for leading the charge in bringing down the prime minister,” he said."

johnson and his remaining gang are barmy.

first he sacked Gove for speaking frankly

then he thought he could have a wedding party at Chequeurs

now he thinks ex-ministers are treasonous

he's forgotten how he treated his predecessors.

They were protestors. More likely to be a Boris hater stopping off on their twice weekly trip to London from Greenock to see friends and relatives.

Tory rule. 8.3m people in the uk on anti depressants. Up 500,000 from last year. It and mental health costs have been steadily increasing for some time.

Of course that’s nothing to do with the pandemic and numerous lockdowns has it?
