And could we soon need photo ID to buy such 'contraband' and then be logged against our healthcare provision 'privileges' should we partake of said food on the 'Nutrient Profile Model'?

And why is it always a three word slogan?

Probably because certain parts of the electorate only count in threes!

what is this bad food list about?
I couldn't see anything in the news today about food

I found the "news" report:
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9565817/Ban-online-junk-food-ads-ahead.html

Daily Fail writes:

"The proposed ban on junk food adverts online will target food and drink products are high in fat, sugar and salt.
How a product is classified as HFSS has not been finalised yet.
Experts* suggest the 'traffic light' system on food packaging could be used. The Government has also developed the Nutrient Profile Model.
Foods that could be considered HFSS under these methods could include: "

*experts = junior reporter that didn't fail biology at GCSE.

So that list is *******s.

This is another good idea - reducing the advertising of junk food.
We do not need junk food to live. We need healthy food.
Junk food is as dangerous to health as cigarettes and alcohol, the advertising of which is already regulated.

While I don't think products such as salmon will be the target, I can't say I've ever seen an advert online for salmon anyway!

Yet another moan about nothing.

lol, probably.

But cheese has come up before - some daft people out there trying to determine what food is healthy and what is not by using the old "fat, salt and sugar" is bad theory, and as cheese is high fat, it therefore must be bad.

Mind you, too much cheese does make you fat - it triggers insulin which speeds conversion of sugars into fat reserves.

Burgers are healthyish, cheeseburgers, less so!

the number three can be important in the heating trade

"The three T rule"
;)

Where was this reported? Doesn't seem like the full story has been posted,

Quite a few of those items are healthy when eaten in moderation.

Avocados are classed as a super food. Not all breakfast cereals are bad, olive oil seems to work wonders for Mediterranean folk, Greeks have long lives...
