When checking electrical continuity across terminals on the overheat thermostat. If thermostat cold (not tripped) should the reading be continuity or open circuit
Thanks, fault was blocked heat exchanger but removing it my plumber damaged overheat stat and being a Sunday no spare. When i checked found stat open circuit, suspected in normal operation there should be continuity but just wanted to check.
