Dear All,
I have a Bosch classix 1000, about 6 years old.
I've had a good look at this and other websites but have not worked out what's the problem yet.
Symptoms:
When selecting a wash programme all lights light up as expected in the usualy sequence. But no action.
No filling and no drum rotation.
Pipes to machine supplying adequate water pressure, no kinks etc.
Filter between supply pipe and machine nice and clean.
Belt where it should be.
Drain motor paddles spin nicely, no coins etc there.
If I fill the machine manually through the soap drawer it drains normally, but drum does not rotate even on spin only or drain cycles.
There's no leaks from the inlet valves or form anywhere else.
So I tried:
Taking the motor out- the Brushes are about 2cm long each, & not darked so I assume ok. -Is this right?
Not sure what to do next or how to test the motor (I've read on DIYnot that there's an internal fuse, but not sure how to test for it- I have a multimeter but will need a dummies guide to know where to put the leads).
There's also a black pipe with thickened walls that goes to a sort of pressure switch. I assume it's what senses the filling and stops it filling when just right. If I blow gently into the switch it clicks nicely, so that seems ok too.
It's a hot and cold feed machine (old style) but we've only been using the cold fill (if it's the inlet switch then maybe I could swap the switches over or fill from the hot side?
All suggestions much appreciated,
& best wishes to all
