I have diagnosed a leak from my machine to be coming from the solenoids just inside my machine.

It only seems to leak when water should not be going into the drum (ie most of the time!)

I cannot work out how to remove this for closer inspection, but from the Bosch website it looks like this part is called Valve-magnet and costs around £20.

Am I best to just order a replacement and fit it or is there something I can possibly do to fix the existing one?

Thanks.

Have ordered a replacement.

Out of interest anyone know if this is a common part to go wrong?

Sorry for digging an old one up but I have just this problem.

I tracked the leak down to the same part, which I need to order, but I can't for the life of me work out how to remove the part from the back of the washing machine. A look on the internet found this site so I thought I'd ask how others have done it, particularly the OP. There's obviously a trick but as I need to use the washing machine before I can replace the part I don't want to rip it out risking damage.

Thanks for any help.

Thats a double inlet valve, its held onto the m/c by two small screws you can see from outside.

undo and remove inlet hoses (red and blue) undo 2 small screws you can see from outside pull whole asembly back into m/c

vaves have a plate attahed which the 2 smal screws went inot, this slides off old and goes onto new valve assem. takes black pipes off and put on new valve, take wires off one at atime and put on new valve.

repeat dissaembly info in reverse order.

Thanks for the reply breezer. I think I have a slightly different version as there are no screws that I can see. It appears that the housing just locks in to place, I just can't work out how.

I'll try to take a photo tomorrow.

Didn't mean to cause any upset - the thread wasn't locked and as it's the same part it seemed reasonable to post to this thread again.

Photo of the back of the washing machine below.
You can just make out through the transparency of the part that it's "oversized" top and bottom on the outside, but on the inside it's "oversized" on both sides. I think it just needs some encouragement in the right direction, just I can't work it out.

Prise the lower part of the valve, the pointed part away from the cabinet and at the same time pull the valve downwards and tilt inwards at the top.
