Bosch condenser dryer - backing material

Hi all,

Just bought a new condenser dryer. Unpacked it and it has this odd, insulation? maybe attached to the back. The instructions don't mention this but it's all cut so exactly to size and shape I don't think I should peel it off!

Can anyone confirm that it is fine to run with this stuff in place? I've included a picture of it.

The insulation stays on,the heater is behind that panel.
