Happened about ten minutes into 65 degree intense cycle. The detergent tablet had been released but not dissolved yet. There was a bang like something blew and it turned off along with all plugs. RCD had tripped. Once flipped back on the dishwasher has no power. Tried a different plug outlet still no power. Changed fuse in plug, still no power. So seems something blew in the machine.

I can’t afford a repair so I have to try and fix it myself. Can anyone advise me on what the most likely causes might be and how to investigate which it is? I’d be really grateful. If I can figure out the cause I’m pretty good at replacing parts.

Bosch Serie 2. Model SMS24AW01G

Thank you

On my siemens you hold the start button down for a few seconds to reset. The bang you describe suggests its a fuse within the machine though

MOV - Metal oxide varistor. These mostly cause that 'bang' sound and blow an internal fuse in the machine.
