Bosch Exxcel 1200 Express washing machine not starting

Hello,

I hope someone can help me ..!

I have a Bosch Exxcel 1200 Express Washing Machine. I have put the load in, closed the door (this is closed properly), switched onto the required wash etc, then pressed 'start' and then nothing happens...

When pressing the 'start' button it does 'click' but then the display doesn't move from 'ready' to 'washing' ....

Can anyone help me ...?

first thing is usually to check the filter and pump as some of these machines do a drain cycle before going any further.
