My Logixx dishwasher stopped working last night. Just plain old dead.

Spent the morning poking around and have located a burnt out transistor on the main controller board with the programme buttons on it.
I can see why it burnt out as the output connector it feeds has been getting wet and has arc'd out. I hoping I can locate a new transistor and get it working or worst case a new controller board.
The part I need is Z3m Y238 anyone any idea where I can get one?

Thanks

Thanks I've tried all the component suppliers I can think of. RS CPC Maplin but the code isn't listed. On closer inspection (damn it's small!) I think it's 23M Y238 But I suspect the comonent has a differnet part number so I may struggle finding just the part. So may need a new programmer complete!

IS it a through hole or surface mount transistor?

Do you now what package it is in & what it is doing in the circuit?

(macro Piccy?)

Does it have a component reference number on the PCB?
Does the PCB have an identifying model number on it?

It's a surface mount component.
It has a solder tag at one side and three legs the other. The black body is approx 8mm long and 4 mm wide and printed on it is 23M Y238
No markings on the controller board that make any sense and no component designation markings.

I've located a controller at Bosch for £120 or so but it's a shame to dump a good part for the sake of one transistor

The picture shows I've replaced the blown transistor with one next to it that I think opens the soap draw so hopefully I can confirm the boards ok.

Looks like an SOT223.

Are you able to test the one that was next to it & see if its NPN or PNP?
Fet or ordnry tranny?

Ooooohhh, looks like its a Triac.

A "Z0103MN"
See here for the datasheet.

So try here and get some samples.

I've finished for Xmas now otherwise I might have been able to get some samples for you.

I may be wrong here, but the datasheet page 6 has a chart showing the SMT marking code.

I stsrated do do some work on the board the idea baing to try swapping with a good one and check that circuit was still ok.
Then I noticed the tiny driver transistor had blown it's top as well.
With xmas just round the corner we decided to bite the bullet and replace the whole machine and be done with it.
The only upside was that we got a cheaper model bosch as it looked like a lot of the parts are similar so I plan to strip the old machine of anything useful.
New machine was £230 compared to the £120 for a new controller.

Thanks for all the input.
