Bosch SGS56E02GB - Lack of hot water

Hi,

I have a Bosch SGS56E02GB dishwasher which appears to be starved of hot water. We noticed the dishwater getting worse over some time but now although the timer on front panel continues to work the cycle will not progress from Wash. We attempted to use a dishwasher cleaner whereby the seal of the bottle is melted at 60-70 degrees but when removing the bottle the seal was not broken.

Is this a common fault and simple enough to correct?
