Came home from work and the other half said dishwasher just stopped working 
, when I looked it was still on and he hadn't turned it off, the red indicater which indicates where it is in its wash was still on the mode which looks like a brush. It is second hand given from a friend who moved into a house that already had one and only a few years old, was in perfect working order until now, lights are on nothing happens when you push each setting, I had to manually drain what water was left. Please could somebody give me an idea of what the problem is so I can fix it myself and continue not washing the dishes.
