BOSCH SLIMLINE DISHWASHER PROBLEM

Hi!
have just brought a second hand slimline bosch dishwasher.........only problem is, it has no manual with it!! the red SALT light is on...does this mean it needs salt?! if so where does the salt go?!!! i dont want to put it in the wrong part.

please help! thanks
