Hi,
New to the forum, looks like a good place to start with my dishwasher problem.
Original fault was that the heater element would heat up when there was no water in the sump. I am thinking I have come across 2 reasons for this but need some help in verifying if I have got it right.
1) The float in the sump was stuck up, when the sump was empty.
2) There seems to be a very poor water supply - this is where i need verification. The incoming hose off the mains is very high pressure, the inlet filter is clean as a whistle, but the hose coming out from the water valve (is there something else on the manifold ?) going to the matrix on the left hand side of the appliance delivers only 600mL per minute. I am thinking this is too low a flow - just over a pint a minute.
A combination of the 2 problems meant the heater would turn on when there was no water in the sump.
Any help greatfully received.
