Our Bosch WTA2000 doesn't want to start? When you turn it on nothing happens, if you manually spin the drum, close the door and then start it - it carries on OK. Just taken the motor cover off, expecting a slipping belt, but it's not that. It appears the motor is just stalling - if you give the motor the slightest helping hand it slowly gets up to speed.
I assume there is some kind of starter capacitor which must be playing up (there is a big capacitor like device next to the motor).
Ideas please.

Yep looks like tumble dryers commonly use AC inductors motors, start capacitors cost about £10. Hopefully one of those will do the trick
