My Bosch upright vac keeps overheating. It then trips some kind of cut-out and won't work until it cools off. Any ideas what might be making it overheat? It seems to be working fine when it runs, but it only lasts a few minutes.

Cheers

John.

have you taken out and cleaned all the filters (it probably has about three) and is the bag fairly empty?

I've done that and after letting it cool down it sucks like new and seems not to be overheating. Lesson learned.
