Bosch Washing Machine WFF2001

I want to replace the on/off switch of my Bosch washing machine WFF 2001
I have removed the top plate and electric plugs to the old switch but am unsure how to remove it. I suspect it slides upwards, but it feels firmly secured and I don't want to force it. Do I have to remove the front control panel to disconnect it from the on/off button at the front of the machine?
