Part way through last rinse cycle it tripped the MCB in my Consumer Unit. When latter was reset, it didn't trip out again.
Display on washer is dead and none of the switches have any effect. Drained off water: no blockage and pump impeller rotates freely. Outlet hose clear. Drum rotates freely. No strange noises.
Removed back and top panel and all insides look like new. No sign of motor burning etc. Plug fuse Ok and mains is on the capacitor in/out terminals.
I am assuming the control module has gone, though what caused it it a mystery. Presumably it could have shorted and tripped the mcb?
Machins is 10 yrs old and new module is £170 so repair not economic??
What a pity no magic reset button.
