bosch WFB 2000 door gets locked

Sometimes after the wash is over the door gets locked and doesnt open even after repeated re-runs of the machine. Not sure if I\\\'m not following instructions properly or is it a mechanical issue?

Will anyone have idea about it?

This could be the door interlock not releasing,they cannot be repaired you will have to replace it,good luck

We own this model. We should all be grateful they're still going strong after nearly twelve years.

The door, as you will know, is designed to refuse to open for one minute after completing a spin. Apparently ripping your customers' arms off is bad for business in the W.M. trade. ('It's Elf & Safety gorn mad' - Daily Mail).

If you press inside the one minute, the Bosch may sulk and refuse to open for some time.

Whether you have done this, or the mechanism is playing up, we have always found a very effective solution.

A swift clout to the front about four inches above and to the right of the door will make the blighter see sense and open sesame
