Hi, about a week ago opened washing machine to have water pour out. On inspection looks like the mains circuit tripped and cycle hadn't stopped properly. Reset external circuit and drained washing machine. Then realised that the drum itself was no longer turning - although the machine filled and emptied and appeared to click its way through wash cycle.
Have been through this forum and removed the motor and changed Bushes. Very pleased with myself only to find no change. Took motor off again and checked resistance on motor pins. Pins 4 and 5 indicated broken circuit, so dismantled and tapped (whacked) thermal protector a number of times to un stick it as advised elsewhere. This appeared to fix issue and now get a reading on pins 4 and 5. Reassembled and sadly disappointed to find still no movement in the motor.
Anyone got any other ideas?
