bosch wff 2001 washing machine no drainage

my bosch wm stops towards the end of the cycle and does not drain. the prinning and rinsing lights flas simultaneously. This indicates the drainage system is blocked. Actually it is not as I have disassebled the completed system twice and checked the pump still works - it does. I can switch the programmer to program 7 and drain the machine via the program fine, but it does not drain as part of the normal cycle.
