When the machine is about to start spin-cycle it makes some ticking noises before it gives up (takes a little while), resulting in an error 3 on the LED. Any suggestions?

Also the two most top-right led are blinking, the first i can't translate (scandinavian: skyllestopp) the second is spin-cycle

I have had a similar problem with my Bosch WFF2001. I don't get an error because my machine doesn't show error numbers but the rinse and spin lights flash simultaneously either in the middle of the rinse or just before the spin and I get a ticking noise. In fact I get it often.

Have you checked the filter for small items like coins, paper clips or limescale ? The filter on my machine is on the left hand side at the bottom of the machine hidden behind a small horizontal panel.

We have very hard water and the filter often has limescale in it. The other problem that seems to result in the same error is when the waste pipe is blocked with limescale.
