Can some kind person let me know where I can get access to the manual door release catch so I can empty the machine?
Maybe someone could suggest why the door won't open. I read in another thread about a solenoid needing replacing. Is this the answer, and is it an easy task to do?
Many thanks

There is no manual door release.
If there's no water in the machine, get a piece of string, feed it into the door on the side it opens at, get the string around to the opposite side and pull back a little, the door should open.
If there's water in the machine, drag it out and drop the drain hose into a basin to drain the water off first.

Thanks very much. The fault seems to be intermittent; I set it to rinse&spin again and the door opened. Will try the string trick next time when it finally gives up. Is the fault in a dodgy solenoid?
Thanks again
