I have a Bosch washer dryer WVD24520GB/08. The dryer works but now needs a much longer cycle to dry properly.

I have checked the fan is running and the thermostat has not tripped. I suspect a fluff build up somewhere.

Where do I start looking?

Thank you in advance for any help

Is the heater assembly located on top of the drum?
Should be obvious where the vents to the drum are which may need cleaning.

Have you checked what temp the thermostat actually cuts out at? Could be cutting out too soon!

Did you check that the fan is actually spinning at the right speed and not slipping!

Heating element could need replacing.

The heater is at the top of the drum. I have no way of checking the temp the thermostat cuts out. The fan is spinning ok, I removed it and cleaned it. It spins freely.
I'll look again tomorrow.

Cooking thermometer?

Check the fan.is attached to the spindle and not just spinning on the spindle.

You need to remove the heater housing assembly from the drum to clean the 2 vents, 1 front and 1 rear. Probably 6 screws and lifts off!
