Boss adapters- rubber or plastic

Need to fit a boss adapter for 50mm pipe
And just wondering how reliable those push in rubber adapters are.

Will be below floorboards so want something thats not going to give any problems down the line.

Seen a few plastic solvent weld ones but not for 50mm pipe.

How do you rate the rubber ones?

Cheers. For some reason im not that confident in them especially when the branch will be under the floor....Im sure they're fine but the idea of solvent welded seems more permanent to me.

Cant seem to find much so might need to put a little trust into the rubber ones

I'd be very wary of using those under the floor, too much risk of it coming apart IMO. What exactly are you wanting to achieve?

Thats my main concern.

I want to fit a 50 mm waste pipe to the pre drilled boss on this

So far all ive managed to find is the rubber 50mm adapter

Could you use one of these 110 mm - Waste Pipe Adaptors - Single to Socket - Drain Equipment-13442 (bes.co.uk) in a 110mm junction? Using underground under the floor wont hurt, no sunlight to damage the plastic!

Or, Polypipe Boss Solvent Adaptor 50mm : Black for 50mm Solvent Weld Pipe (plasticdrainage.co.uk)

I only use solvent weld, had too many old rubber ones leak. Plus the rubber ones never hold up on a soiltest. Any plumbers merchant will do you 50mm boss adapters.

Thanks folks. founds this which is solvent weld on the boss side and compression for the pipe which might do the job aswell
