Bostitch gf33 Nail Gun problems (same as Hitachi Nr90gc2?)

Having problems with my nail gun. Got 5 nails out today then the fan stops running .checked for jammed nails. Nothing to see. Basic clean and lube done. Still nothing. Battery voltage at 7.62 volts. Stripped it down. Fan works if it is connected directly to battery. Is there away to test fan operation? On the bench. Any pointers on where to look next appreciated. Thanks.
