Hi,
I am working on a 1920’s property where a conifer tree has been panted about half a meter from the front window (between front window and front door). I’m guessing it’s about 20 years old (4 m high) and will be cut down as it’s blocking all light.
I believe the roots have caused the front wall between the front door and window to bow out about 30mm around half way up the wall over around 5 courses. The soft mortar has absorbed the movement. Can I just repoint the wall or would rebuilding be required? There are minor cracks on the inside (cavity wall).
