Anyone been following this poor woman? Deborah James. She's been in the news for a good few years now, raising awareness about bowel cancer. I always thought she looked in remarkably good health and was beating it. She's now taken a turn for the worse and has basically come home to die. Only days left now. As a parent, it really is heartbreaking knowing she has to say goodbye to her husband and children. Life really is just not fair sometimes. :(

I don't normally pass on such links but we all know someone that had died of cancer and she is having one last go at fundraising and is doing very well. All she asks is that next time you meet a friend for coffee or a drink, buy one for her.

I was just reading about her.. I don't normally take an interest in celebrity's. I'm a bit blarsay about the big C even tho I have and my mum has just died of it. It just seems everyone and their dog have it.

She still looks great but can't fight it anymore. Must be heartbreaking for her two children .

Beautiful lady very sad.

Whilst any money raised is clearly brilliant, I'm going to slightly hijack this thread and post another justgiving plea. On another forum I frequent a guy called Chris Waller also frequented that forum and following his diagnosis of terminal cancer last year he shared his prognosis, journey, highs and lows and how he was gradually saying goodbye to his young family with the members of that forum, he passed away on 5 May, if only one extra donation is made to support Marie Curie in his name this post will have been worth it.

Give money to line the pockets of the rich.
No amount of money is going to cure cancer . EVER.
Brave lady for doing what she thinks is right.
It’s very sad.

That not do true. Mine is under control. I was told that there was not a cure when I found out. Month or so before I had my treatment a cure was found..... not that I had this but if it comes back then I will get the cure treatment
