Brand new 42" lcd tv quality

Hello all,

I've recently bought a new philips 42" lcd telly, the quality isn't as good as I would expect. I have sky and sometimes the picture is blurry. When watching football, the players look really blurry when the camera is following a shot at goal or just moving fast.

Is this the norm, is it sky or is it my telly or were my expectations too high?

I don't have HD

Check your settings on Sky box. Sometimes it looks better in RGB not composite. We just got one and did a bit of fiddling in the Virgin settings to get it right. (why does that sound rude?)

Apparently you do get a bit of blurr which is the norm for LCD's.

OH has just commented that it could be the response time on your TV? It needs to be 8ms (milliseconds) or below.
