Hi All,
Was wondering what people’s thoughts were about replacing a concrete sectional garage with a rendered, insulated breeze block garden room with a flat ply EPDM roof and a 3m bifold door.
Main concern is whether the existing 200mm base will be man enough to take the new structure. I’m working on the assumption that the block work will be roughly similar in weight to the sectional panels, I was thinking that the panels are a more of a pilot load if anything. I understand that it is unlikely that you would construct the base like this, buy it would be much easier and cheaper to utilise the existing.
Was thinking if weight was going to be an issue, perhaps exploring single skin with an alternative internal insulation system.
Any views or advice welcome, thanks.
