Just about to start an extension, or rather a builder is about to start an extension at my house in a few weeks time. We are trying to obtain the best brick match we can, which isn't proving that easy, I just wondered whether any of you have any tips on how best to go about it, or can recommend anywhere in the North West that is particularly good.

The bricks I am trying to match are wire cut and I can take pictures if anyone feels they might be able to help.

Many thanks.

Most merchants offer a brick matching service, give a few a ring and ask.

Many thanks to you all.

I hadn't intended to use the forum to actually try to match my bricks, was more looking for advice on who best to go to, whether that should be brick specialists or builders merchants and what exactly to look for if anything.

I'll definitely try out Huws Gray in Warrington as so far I'm not that impressed with the local builders merchants matches. Here's a pic anyway just in case anyone has come across these particular bricks before.........

A good match will need to be in 73mm.

As ever many thanks for any input.
