Hello

I have two brick pillars one either side of my driveway (as you do) and one has lots of efflorescence yet the other doesn't have hardly any - just wondering why that could be, as it looks like the efflorescence is "pouring" our of the lower part of the pillar. Both capping stones are intact.

There is a drain near the efflorescence pillar, if relevant (hopefully not).

Thanks
Mike

The cause would seem to be that pier cap having an inadequate drip, and so letting rain water run down the face of the pier

It is a phenomenon and so two similar situations may not lead to efflorescence occurring in both

Thanks woody! The bricks suffered during the frost last winter so i am going to try and sort it out. Cheers.
