Yesterday, Avon and Somerset police quietly admitted that no officers suffered broken bones during Sunday’s Kill The Bill protest. In a statement posted to their website, the force said: “Thankfully following a full medical assessment of the two officers taken to hospital, neither were found to have suffered confirmed broken bones.”

Will we have a retraction by the Sun et al?

Plod tend to over state things

I recall when they shot that Brazilian bloke and the porkies that came out with over that

basically came down to dodgy radios that did not work in under ground stations and some plod on surveillance taking a slash

Latest riots sees bottles, bricks and fireworks being thrown at police, and paint at the police horses.
still no broken bones though.
You must be gutted Galahad.

Not really. Some may have had toothache and another possibly twisted an ankle when leaving the riot van. Not to be sniffed at.
You must be thinking of this: Kingsnorth

"Kent police have informed the Home Office that there were no recorded injuries sustained as a result of direct contact with the protesters."

"The Home Office has now admitted that the protesters had not been responsible for any injuries"

"other injuries reported included "stung on finger by possible wasp"; "officer injured sitting in car"; and "officer succumbed to sun and heat". One officer cut his arm on a fence when climbing over it, another cut his finger while mending a car, and one "used leg to open door and next day had pain in lower back"

"A separate breakdown of the 33 patients treated by the police tactical medicine unit at the climate camp shows that three officers had succumbed to heat exhaustion, three had toothache, six were bitten by insects, and others had diarrhoea, had cut their finger or had headaches"

Plod sure picks the best/worst recruits/liars (n)

Edit: what is a 'possible wasp'?
