The majority of flights to and from Bristol International Airport have been cancelled today following concerns over the reliability of the newly resurfaced runway in wet weather conditions.
Since the runway was resurfaced a week ago there have been several incidents involving planes skidding or overshooting the runway following rain.

About to say "Can we get nothing right?" Then realised the airport is Spanish owned...

"Flybe however has decided to continue with its flights, despite the safety fears"

I must remember to avoid Flybe.

Maybe they should have read the post on here about the 'plane and conveyor belt' !!!

BRS not known for good weather...

A recent near diasaster cross wind plus possibly no grip halfway down the runway.. Aurigny ATR 72 ends up on the grass and in the manure..
