I would be surprised if he didn't employ some hypnotic techniques at least in his speeches if not in his body language...just how far it'd be taken is the question

Thatcher probably wouldn't look into your eyes...I think it was Matthew Parris who said Thatcher used to have a way of looking at you that would be quite offputting. When rebuking someone she'd look at a spot on your forehead between your eyes making you feel inferior.

Politicians change people's perceptions of them by use of image consultants and who knows what else. Just look at and listen to Thatcher pre and post the Saatchi treatment. It is a worry that policy and its implementation appear of secondary importance to image ...but then again at least there are MPs who can't be accused of this....Prescott anyone
